When it comes to gas prices, how high is too high?

http://www.mlive.com/business/mid-michi ... es_ho.html

The price of regular gasoline on Thursday hit $3.55 per gallon at some stations, up about 20 cents from two days ago when the average price for a gallon of gas was $3.34, according to AAA.

When it went over a dollar a gallon!!! lol. I remember when it went over a dollar per gal. They painted the #1 on the pump. And you just knew it was never going to be under a dollar again. I Think price of gas is ridiculous. But, I don't drive around looking for the the lowest price, and I won't set in a line. Keeping your vehicle tuned and maintained for better gas mileage make sense. I vote for using All American Gas.

We have plenty of gas. This is just another source of revenue for the government through the taxes on gas. So they are not motivated to protect the consumer. The gas companies gouge us every chance they get. Look at their profit levels.

That is just crazy! It affects some many people in different ways. You would think our leaders would doing something about it. I think the bottom line is we just have to get off foreign oil. Maybe I'm just too much of an optimist.

The main source of the higher prices isn't the gas at all. Gas prices are just the most visible result, because we pay attention to those big numbers on the sign. The primary reason is because of the dollar being de-valued. And this effects the price of everything, from food to fuel to clothing.
For example; QE1, QE2 & QE3 see: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quantitative_easing

But yes, big oil companies have been toying with the prices for years. Two steps forward, one step back, it's been the same game as long as I can remember.

Big oil pumps out our domestic oil and ships it around the world rather than selling it here to make higher profits. The same thing is done on the other side of the world. They have been caught red handed holding deliveries because supply was too high. Meaning they actually hold tankers full of crude off the coast rather than allowing them to come ashore and empty, to make higher profits. And big gov' lets them get away with whatever they would like, because of the big financial contributions.

The merger of corporate and state power is Fascism.
