Thanks for the warm welcome. I used to drag race a lot in the 80's. I had a 73 z/28 with a 350. then changed to an altered with a 48 fiat body. real mild motor but very light weight. presently have a red 1995 z/28 with the 6 speed and flowmaster exhaust, a 1976 black trans am with headers turbo mufflers and weld wheels, and a 1979 camaro that is pretty much in pieces in the garage but it has a 427, turbo 400, and a 4:10 ten bolt.

I enjoy looking a pics of cars,and cars all tore down.

No pictures on line. I do have some old pictures I will scan in. The picture of your 1980 camaro is how I would like my 1979 to look. and yea I like to see them all taken a part and think of the potential.

where did you used to drag race?
the 80's is when I started to race,well late 80's,
1986 to be exact.

It was called Central Michigan Dragway and now mid Michigan Motorplex. From about 1980 through 1987. In 1988 I got divorced had to sell the car and everything and I have never really raced much since just my street cars. I always raced for points and had a lot of fun. In 1987 I was racing the Fiat black fiberglass body on a tube chassis and a chrysler 8 3/4 rear end. Broke into the high ten's a few times but mostly low eleven's.

I started at central michigan drag way as well.
I prolly reconize your car if you had pics of it up.

this was the car I was racing back then,I mostly went on saturdays,to the street tire shootouts.



I too need to get my old photos out and get them scaned to the computer.

Do you live in Midland? There's a sweet as all hell ...what looks to be a 76 or 77 TA that cruises by my house in the summertime - just wondering if that's you.

Well this is my first time trying to post a picture. Lets see if it works. My 76 Trans am stays in the garage most of the time. It doesn't have any rust but the clear coat is pealing off. I live in Saginaw.

yea, thats my camaro at indy. Raced all summer to get enough points to qualify for indy, 9 hours of towing to get to indy and I red lighted first round!
