My house (1880) and car (1926, 1929, 1961, 1968) projects are all ongoing, some faster than others. Yesterday, I hung drywall on my dining room ceiling, so I'll be mudding that soon. Today I'm taking out the Falcon's gas tank to determine whether to repair or replace.

1968 Camaro: 327/4-speed

Ford, GM, MoPar, AMC... they’re all cool. I’m non-partisan.

I hesitated to even mention them, as they barely warrant the name "cars", more like "small piles of parts that I intend to become cars.". The '29 is a cowl from a sedan that I plan to become an early-1940s-style highboy roadster pickup:

The '26 is just a bare frame and some Model A running gear that should someday resemble an early-1930s gowjob ala Multy Aldrich.

No pic of that stuff, sorry.

It looks like a new tank is in order. The old one came out easily enough, but the float is rusted in, and new parts are too cheap to make the old ones worth messing with too much.

I'll probably be retrofitting an early Mustang tank.

Something like this but with a full hood and '35 Ford wire wheels:

Update on the gas tank: I got her in, cobbled a fuel fill, fabricated a vent, and managed to get the lock ring not to leak. Drove her last night to the gas station and the video store, and no leaks so far. Keep your fingers crossed.
