Hello!

Although I now live in the Tucson suburb of Oro Valley, AZ.; was raised in Lansing. Began the rather questionable activity of drag race announcing at Central Michigan Dragway (now the Mid Michigan Motorplex) in 1955.

Further announced some of the 1972 first-year events at Tri-City. And ... a whole bunch of other stuff.

My current vehicle is a 2006 Dodge Charger R/T 5.7 Liter Hemi which I am gently making better.

Am thinking about writing a book about drag racing's early days and would appreciate contact from anybody with 1950's photos from Central Michigan Dragway, particularly if they show the track unpaved - as it was in 1954.

New member here. Just a little about me. From Birch Run we have alot of fast street strip cars around this area. I am currently building a 79 z28 10.5 car to run on the street and strip. Currently stock suspension 30 inch 12.5 et street on weld aluma stars. Running 13-1 406 built by speed-o-motive making roughly 620 hp and 250 bottle thinking about running 400 plate. Running 4inch exhaust with flowmaster 1chamber x pipe exhaust to the rearend. The paint just got finshed marina blue, stock steel body with 6inch glasstek hood. Just finishing the chute and cable. Hope to be on the street yet this year. I will be posting pictures soon.

Hi My name is Paul Ayling,we are from Birch Run. I have a mid to high 10. sec. street/strip Pontiac Lemans that we play with at the motorplex, but most of my time over the last 4 years or so has been playing crew chief on my kids JR Dragsters.
They have a great program for the kids out there and have a very good turn out of cars. I'll try to post some pics and video.
Thanks, Paul.. K&J RACING

Not a newbie I don't think but figured I'd better say something before I post anymore so I don't get in trouble:) Name's Tim Jackson. I'm 30. Grew up in Midland but live in Indianapolis now. Don't have any cool toys except a Harley but will get back into street cars at some point. Follow the ADRL, NMCA, outlaw 10.5 and dig fast street cars. Work on a Top Fuel car for a living. Guess that's about it!

Hey Rich. Things are goin good. Still with KB and Brandon and will be there next year too. Everything that is red now will be blue next year which will be a bit strange at first but we will get used to it. Good to be back here! I see you sent me a pm but it was deleted. I can put a link to this website on the bars website as well if you'd like. Tim.
