Northern Michigan Dragway will be open Saturday for its second Tune and Test day to start the season, with time trials available from 2 pm until 6 pm. Opening day this past Saturday was a decent turnout despite the cold conditions.
Sunday will feature the first race of the 2010 bracket racing season, a full points event. Last season's track champions included the following. Jason Hilliard of Kaleva won his first championship in Bracket I, while Cody Guerne of Bear Lake ran away with the Bracket II championship which was highlighted by his big win at the Mopars Against the World event in July.
Rhet Brewer of Eastlake, and Aaron Shackelford of Manistee were Trophy class champs, while Bruce Douglas of Thompsonville took the Junior Eliminator championship.
