My wifes cousin just lost her husband last fall. He was coming home from work and a women pulled out in front of him. Bikes just don't offer much in the way of protection in an accident. he was only 46 years old. I understand the appeal, bikes can do everything else better than most cars. faster, better handling, stop quicker, great gas mileage.
Sorry about your wifes cousin.
.....I still might get one.
It's been something that I have wanted for a long time.
my dad had one when I was little,he only road it a few times, sold it.
my uncle had one,and him and his wife would ride with him.
they said shortly after that she would not ride on it with him for the fear that if the got into a accident
that they both would be messed up or worce, both dead.
he still regets selling the bike.
my brother had a bike, and I remember ridding on the back of it,it was fun.
he sold his,he would like to get another one some day.
...If and when I get one ....it will be just for me,no bitch pad on it.
I just want it for when I get home, and on weekends to tool around on.
and staying the hell off bay rd.
and the highways.
I like the back roads.
I'd ride it out here on two lane roads.
away from all the nuts in the city.
but then I always say it will take away from my car fund, but you know...you have to have a bit of fun sometimes.
